The Vicerrectory of Research and Graduate Studies (VRIP) is a unit under the Rectory and is in charge of organizing, directing and supervising the institution in the areas of its concern, such as: Direction of Graduate Studies, Direction of Research and Direction of Innovation, Development and Technology Transfer. In addition, it promotes and regulates the formation advanced human capital through the policies of academic improvement leading to doctorate and master´s degrees and obtaining medical and health specialties.
The Vicerrectory of Research and Graduate Studies is a part of the Honorable Superior Council of the institution and was invited to the Academic Council. Additionally, it is a member of the following directories: Center of Processed Elements (CEAP) and the Office of Technology Transfer and Licensing (OTL).

Mission: Contribute to bettering the quality of life of all Chileans through the generation and application of scientific and technology knowledge emanating from the Universidad Católica del Maule, ensuring solidarity, the ethics and principles of the Christian faith.
